ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Singapore, and spent the majority of my youth studying parent-approved subjects like chemistry and economics. When I was 17, something came over me and I decided that creating stuff from my imagination was something I'd rather do.
I enrolled into the newly-created School of Art Design and Media at the Nanyang Technological University, and graduated with a BA in Animation in 2011. During this time, I produced numerous short animated films, including Spycat and the Paper Chase, a team collaboration that has won numerous awards, including Best Short Film in the 42nd Giffoni Film Festival, the largest children’s festival in the world. At this time, I somehow became more and more involved with games. I interned at the Singapore-MIT GAMBIT Game Lab as a game artist, worked as a game designer and review writer in a local studio, and did character animation on The Silver Lining, the official fan sequel to the classic King’s Quest series of games. I had a brief stint as an animator working on the award-winning Doc McStuffins animated television series airing on Disney Junior.
In 2015, I moved to the United States of America, having accepted a job as a QA Tester in Mobius Industries on the Guild Wars 2 expansion Heart of Thorns. A year later, I was hired full-time as a QA Tester in ArenaNet, where I served as the skills and systems embed for the second Guild Wars 2 expansion, Path of Fire.
I hope to be able to work on a wide variety of styles in animation and video games, from the cartoonish, comedic fantasies of brightly-colored platformers, to the realistic, frightening and colossal creatures in a science fiction first-person shooter.
